Launch Via Vinci University Drechtsteden

On 17 December 2009, Via Vinci University ‘Drechtsteden’ has been officially launched. With the signing of the statutes at the notary, the new business activities have been initiated within the acquainted brand of ‘Via Vinci’. Via Vinci University Drechtsteden is a new independent venture with the aim to offer bachelor programmes and new programmes with a strong focus on management and entrepreneurship in the Rijnmond-Zuid region. In that respect, there will be no competition with the widely known company ‘International University for Creative Leadership and Entrepreneurship’ as both the products and the market are not the same. However, there will be a close cooperation between the two companies as they both make use of the same brand and both will purchase each other’s products. The cooperation is further focused on international contacts and quality in terms of organisation and accreditation. Sharing the same website will further align the requirements of the target group. By the means of various contracts, both companies will separately announce their activities explicitly. 

Via Vinci University Drechtsteden is planned to be fully settled in Dordrecht (Rijnmond-Zuid region) mid 2010. The warm contacts with the Da Vinci College and the municipality of Dordrecht provide us with full confidence and we look forward an in to spiring and fruitful cooperation.
